DAY 1: WELCOME TO MILWAUKEE!
Our journey begins with an opportunity to meet your Tour Director and fellow travel companions for a welcome dinner. D

DAY 2: INDIANA SAND DUNES/GRAND HAVEN
Start your day with a sweet stop at Lehmann’s Bakery in Sturtevant, a beloved local gem known for over 80 years as the home of the original Dani’s Kringle. Then, journey south to Indiana Dunes National Park to discover its towering sand dunes and natural beauty. Wrap up the day with dinner and an overnight stay in the delightful lakeside town of Grand Haven. B, D

DAY 3: GRAND TRAVERSE BAY
Experience the breathtaking Silver Lake Sand Dunes with a thrilling ride from Mac Woods Dune Rides—a cherished Michigan tradition for over 30 years. Feel the excitement as you explore the fascinating history and ecology of these ever-changing sands. Then, head to Traverse City for dinner at a popular local favorite. Unwind at the Bayshore Resort, our lakefront hotel offering picturesque views of Grand Traverse Bay, where we’ll settle in for a relaxing two-night stay. B, D

DAY 4: SLEEPING BEAR DUNES/CHERRY REPUBLIC
Set off on a picturesque journey led by our local guide, meandering through the cherry orchards of Old Mission Peninsula and taking in the stunning views along Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Savor unique cherry-inspired treats at the Cherry Republic before enjoying lunch on the scenic Leelanau Peninsula. Delight in a guided tour and step back in time at the historic 1870 Mission Point Lighthouse. End your day with a peaceful evening by the lake. B, D

DAY 5: MACKINAC ISLAND/GRAND HOTEL
Set off on a scenic voyage along Lake Michigan with a picturesque ferry ride to Mackinac Island. Spend your afternoon strolling Main Street, browsing quaint shops, savoring the island’s famous fudge, and taking in breathtaking lake views. Travel back in time with a horse-drawn carriage ride through the island’s charming streets, arriving at the iconic Grand Hotel. There, you’ll enjoy sweeping views from the world’s longest porch before sitting down to a refined five-course dinner in the hotel’s elegant dining room. B, D

DAY 6: MACKINAC ISLAND
After a restful night in one of the Grand Hotel’s elegant accommodations, begin your day with breakfast and take time to unwind, enjoying the hotel’s timeless charm and beautiful amenities or explore the island’s many attractions by foot or bicycle—ride the scenic perimeter trail, visit the stables and carriage museum, or stroll through historic Fort Mackinac. Before departing, savor one more memorable meal with the Grand Hotel’s renowned Lunch Buffet. Then, board Shepler’s Ferry for a scenic crossing as the journey continues toward the lakeside town of Ludington. B, L

DAY 7: LAKE MICHIGAN CROSSING
Board the S.S. Badger, the only authentic steamship still cruising the Great Lakes, for our return to Wisconsin. Enjoy open-air decks, play a round of “Badger Bingo,” or browse the onboard “Boatique.” On our way south, we’ll stop in Sheboygan to explore the Kohler Art Preserve—home to fascinating artist-built environments and sculptural works. This innovative museum offers a rare glimpse into the minds of self-taught artists through immersive installations. Take time to wander the striking architecture and thoughtfully curated exhibits. Arrival Time
Our Welcome Dinner on Day 1 is at our hotel, Hampton Inn Milwaukee/Franklin, starting at 6:30 p.m. We recommend scheduling your flight to arrive by 4:00 p.m.

Departure Time
Schedule your flight home to depart the Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport any time after 5:30 p.m. on Day 7. If you need to book a post night, please schedule flights out after 8:00 a.m. if you wish to use the complimentary hotel shuttle in the morning.

Airport Transportation / Vehicle Parking
Our starting hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to/from Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport. Please send us your flight schedule so we can make sure the shuttle will be ready for you. If you are driving to the starting location, they also offer complimentary parking for the duration of the tour.

Walking Distance
Moderate walking is required to fully enjoy this tour. Some walking will also be on uneven paths and sand. While walking canes are allowed, we are unable to accommodate travelers using other mobility devices, including walkers and wheelchairs.

A total of three mailings are sent to assist you in preparing for your tour, including information sent upon receipt of your reservation.

Dress on tour is casual except at the Grand Hotel. The Grand Hotel has guidelines for dress after 5:30 pm throughout the hotel and dining room. Because every evening at Grand Hotel is a special occasion, after 6:30 pm in main areas of the hotel and after 5:30 p.m. the Main Dining Room, dresses, skirts, blouses, dress sweaters, and dress slacks for ladies are preferred, while gentlemen are required to wear a suit coat, necktie, and dress pants (no denim or shorts). This applies for all areas inside the hotel including the Parlor, Lobby, Terrace, and Main Dining Room, with the exception of the Cupola Bar.

Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, visors, and comfortable walking shoes will add to your enjoyment of this tour.
