This morning we’ll enjoy a guided tour of Venice, the famous lagoon city that has captivated millions across the world. As you stroll through the alluring streets and hidden corners, you’ll uncover the rich culture that makes Venice so enchanting. The tour will include a visit inside the stunning St. Mark’s Basilica, where art, legacy, and architecture come together in a truly unforgettable experience. B

DAYS 1-2: BENVENUTI A ITALIA, WELCOME TO ITALY!
After our overnight flight arrives in Venice, we will transfer to Cortina: a picturesque alpine town nestled in the heart of the Dolomites. Along the way, a stop will be made in Pieve di Soligo for a visit to a vineyard for a sample of local Valdobbiadene wine. We’ll gather tonight for an Italian style welcome dinner at the hotel. D

DAY 3: DOLOMITE PASSES
Set off on a private tour through four of the most breathtaking Dolomite Mountain passes –Falzarego, Pordoi, Sella, and Gardena — each offering unforgettable alpine views and dramatic scenery. Along the way, enjoy the option to take scenic cable car rides to the summits of Falzarego and Pordoi Passes, where panoramic vistas of the surrounding peaks and valleys await. B, D

DAY 4: LAKE MISURINA/TRE CIME DI LAVAREDO
Today, enjoy a trip to explore the impressive Lake Misurina and iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Partake in an optional walk around the lake soaking in the serene atmosphere. At the foot of the magnificent Tre Cime peaks, embark on a panoramic walk to the Auronzo Mountain Hut for unforgettable experience full of stunning views. B

DAY 5: TRIESTE/MS OOSTERDAM
Take a leisurely walking tour through Trieste, a charming coastal city with striking architecture. Stroll through the grand Piazza Unità d’Italia, admire the neoclassical beauty of the Trieste Cathedral, and explore the lively streets lined with cafés and shops. As you wander, uncover the dazzling views of the Adriatic before boarding our home for the remainder of the tour, Holland America’s MS Oosterdam a mid-sized vessel with less than 2,000 guests. After settling in on the ship, your adventure will be up to you as you consider optional excursions to book for the duration of the cruise. B, D

DAY 6: RIJEKA
Rijeka is a bustling port on Croatia’s Adriatic coast, known for its maritime story, spirited cultural scene, and eclectic architecture. From the impressive Trsat Castle overlooking the city to the grand Korzo promenade filled with shops and cafés, Rijeka offers a mix of old-world appeal and modern energy. B, L, D

DAY 7: SPLIT
Split, Croatia’s second-largest city, has a lively atmosphere with rich heritage. Centered around the 1,700-year-old Diocletian’s Palace — a UNESCO-listed Roman fortress by the sea — its intimate streets and laid-back Dalmatian vibe invite exploration. A major hub to the Adriatic islands, Split is full of surprises, from hidden cafés and shops in ancient alleys to energetic squares, markets, and scenic seaside trails. B, L, D

Enjoy a day at sea taking in the sights and sounds of the Mediterranean. B, L, D

DAY 9: SANTORINI
Santorini is known for its volcanic caldera and deep bay where only large ships can anchor offshore. Even a brief visit offers a taste of its vibrant art, cuisine, and famous wines — some believe it’s the fabled site of Atlantis. Whether you’re sampling local vintages or exploring ancient Thera, Santorini’s allure makes a lasting impression. B, L, D

DAY 10: MYKONOS
A journey to Mykonos brings you to one of the Cyclades’ most popular islands where glamour meets tradition. Passengers arrive in Old Town, greeted by whitewashed cliffside homes, colorful accents, and bougainvillea-lined alleys. Explore the town’s narrow streets, iconic windmills, and waterfront cafés in Little Venice. Savor local dishes like mostra at a seaside taverna or take a short trip to Delos, the mythical birthplace of Apollo and home to ancient ruins. B, L, D

DAY 11: KUSADASI
Kusadasi, Turkey is the gateway to the ancient city of Ephesus, where St. Paul once preached and the grand facade of the Celsus Library still stands. Nearby, walk among the traces of the Temple of Artemis, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Other sites like the House of Mary and the Basilica of St. John add spiritual depth, while the Selçuk fortress reflects the region’s Byzantine and Ottoman past. Few Mediterranean ports offer such a rich combination of history, myth, and heritage in a single day. B, L, D

DAY 12: ISTANBUL
Arriving in Istanbul by ship offers beautiful views of the Bosphorus and iconic landmarks like Hagia Sophia and Topkapı Palace. On land, explore the bustling art and café scene in Beyoğlu, the historic character of Zeyrek, and Sultanahmet’s grand mosques and palaces. Scratch the surface of this beautiful landscape to absorb Istanbul’s intricate legacy, thriving neighborhoods, and the unique blend of cultures that span continents. B, L, D

DAY 13: CRUISING THE DARDANELLES
Cruising the Dardanelles Strait, which separates Europe and Asia, offers a stunning view of its historic shores. As the ship sails through this vital waterway, passengers can take in the mix of ancient landmarks and natural beauty. Cruising the Dardanelles provides a perspective of a region that has shaped millennia of trade, conflict, and myth. B, L, D

DAY 15: TRAVEL HOME
This morning, arrive in Athens, a modern city overflowing with tradition. We’ll transfer to the airport for our return flight home filled with experiences only this voyage of the Mediterranean could offer. B

Walking Distance
To fully enjoy your vacation, you should be in good physical health and understand there are times when a good deal of walking is involved in our tours. Those who have difficulty walking may not want to take this trip or should discuss their personal situation with their doctor before deciding. You should be able to walk at a steady pace up to a mile at a time for a daily total of three to four miles per day and be able to manage steps to board/de-board the motorcoach several times a day. In addition, many US and European airports require lengthy walks to get from ticketing counters to your departure gate and moveable walkways are not common throughout European Airports as they are in the United States.

Due to the lack of proper facilities at some of the farms, ranches, and off-the-beaten-path sites we often visit, we are unable to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs.

We are finding that larger European cities are closing their historic districts to motor traffic. This, of course, adds to the amount of walking involved when visiting a city (sometimes on uneven and/or cobblestone walkways). In addition, please know you may be expected to exit the motorcoach at each stop because local law requires mandatory motorcoach driver breaks.

Hotels during the land portion of the tour are equipped with a safe, Wi-Fi, hair dryer, and air conditioning. The properties may also feature a fitness center, spa, on-site restaurant, lounge, or have laundry services available.

An exercise room, spa services, and swimming pool are available onboard the MS Oosterdam. Laundry services are also available for an additional fee.

An outlet converter that adapts to European outlets is needed. You can find these at many stores, including Amazon and Walmart.

Dress for the land portion of the tour is casual. Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, visors, and comfortable walking shoes will add to your enjoyment of this tour. It is recommended to pack layers as temperatures may vary throughout the duration of the tour.

"Country Club" casual attire (excluding jeans and shorts) is recommended for dinners on your cruise. However, there are formal nights on board where it is recommended that men wear a dress shirt & suit coat and ladies should bring along a nice dress, skirt & blouse or a nice pants suit. If you do not feel comfortable dressing for dinner in the formal dining room, there are alternate casual dining choices while on board. You may eat in the Lido Restaurant or choose room service, both are complimentary.
