DAY 1: WELCOME TO HOUSTON!
Begin your journey with a Welcome Dinner at our hotel in Houston. Build connections with your fellow travelers and tour director. D

DAY 2: JOHNSON SPACE CENTER
Start your day with a visit to Space Center Houston, the official visitor center of NASA’s Johnson Space Center. This world-renowned science and space center offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at human spaceflight—from historic moon missions to the cutting-edge technologies shaping our future on Mars. This evening, continue on to San Antonio, where you will be staying for two nights on the famous River Walk. B

DAY 3: SAN ANTONIO MISSIONS/RIVER WALK/TEJAS RODEO
This morning, our group will be accompanied by Julia Rosenfeld, a professional food writer, restaurant reviewer, cookbook author, and San Antonio expert. Visit the historic missions and learn about their legacy, along with what makes San Antonio a UNESCO City of Gastronomy. Enjoy lunch and a tamale-making lesson! This afternoon, view over 500 artifacts on display at the expansive Alamo Exhibit, which tell the story of San Antonio’s most famous landmark. End your day with an exhilarating visit to the Tejas Rodeo for a delicious BBQ dinner and an action-packed cowboy experience. B, L, D

DAY 4: FREDERICKSBURG
Today we set off for Fredericksburg, located in the heart of Texas Hill Country. Explore the world-class National Museum of the Pacific War to gain an in-depth understanding of WWII in the Asiatic-Pacific theater. Stroll through the historic center of Fredericksburg, which blends rich German heritage with a laid-back charm. B, D

DAY 5: VINTAGE MOTORCYCLES/LBJ LIBRARY
Travel to Johnson City, home of the Texas Vintage Motorcycle Museum. Get a behind-the-scenes tour with Gordon Massie, owner of the nearly 100 classic motorcycles that make up the collection. The group will continue on to Austin, where the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library offers an inspiring journey through the life of the 36th President. B, L

DAY 6: PAINTED CHURCHES/MODEL AIRCRAFT MUSEUM/POLKA LOVERS CLUB OF TEXAS
This morning, journey to Schulenburg for a tour of the area’s famed painted churches. These places of worship, built by German and Czech immigrants in the late 1800s, feature gorgeous hand-painted interiors meant to replicate the churches of their home countries. Continue with a visit to the Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum. This evening, experience true Texas hospitality with the Polka Lovers Club of Texas. Learn about La Grange’s Czech heritage in their museum and perhaps have a dance or two! B, L, D

DAY 7: TEXAS QUILT MUSEUM/RETURN HOME
Our final stop is the Texas Quilt Museum. Featuring entries from the International Quilt Festival, this museum displays stunning creations by quilters from all over the world. Depart for home with exciting new memories of the Lone Star State! B

Our Welcome Dinner on Day 1 is at our hotel, Hilton Houston North, starting at 6:30 p.m. We recommend scheduling your flight to arrive by 4:00 p.m.

Departure Time
Schedule your flight home to depart the George Bush Intercontinental Airport any time after 2:30 p.m. on Day 7.

Our starting hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to/from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). If you are driving to the starting location, they also offer complimentary parking for the duration of the tour.

Moderate walking is required to fully enjoy this tour. Some walking will also be on uneven paths. While walking canes are allowed, we are unable to accommodate travelers using other mobility devices, including walkers and wheelchairs.
