DAY 1: WELCOME TO LAS VEGAS!

DAY 2: LAS VEGAS TOUR/ROUTE 66
This morning after we enjoy a tasty breakfast we will visit the famous Las Vegas Sign. We then will take a guided tour of Las Vegas before making our way down Route 66. We will enjoy lunch at a local favorite and then visit the Route 66 Museum. This museum is filled with vintage cars, dioramas and unique stories about the famed driving route. Tonight, we will settle into the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel in Williams, AZ. Here you will experience the bygone area in this unique hotel. B, L
DAY 3: GRAND CANYON RAILWAY/SOUTH RIM OF GRAND CANYON
After breakfast we will board the Grand Canyon Railway and sit in a restored vintage car and head to the southern rim of the Grand Canyon. This unforgettable ride will take you back to the Old West as we are mesmerized by spectacular views. Keep your eye out for authentic characters and musicians who may entertain you along the way. Once we arrive at the South Rim we will enjoy a delicious lunch followed by free time exploring the Grand Canyon on your own. Sit and enjoy the view or take one of the easy walking trails that line the rim. Tonight, we will check into our hotel in Hopi Nation and enjoy a delightful dinner. B, L, D
DAY 4: WWII “CODE TALKER”/BLUFF FORT HISTORIC PARK/MOAB
This morning during breakfast we will learn about the “Code Talkers” of World War II and the important role they played in military communications. We will then make our way through Monument Valley. Get your camera ready for picture postcard views. After lunch we will visit Bluff Fort Historic Park. Explore the restored 1880 pioneer village. You will get the chance to view covered wagons, tour a black smith store and step inside a Navajo hogan and Ute tepee. Tonight, we will settle into our hotel in Moab for 2 nights. Enjoy dinner on own and enjoy time to walk around downtown Moab. B, L
DAY 5: ARCHES AND CANYONLANDS NATIONAL PARKS/DEAD HORSE STATE PARK
We will embark on a guided tour of Arches National Park. With more than 1,500 arches, this geographic wonder of the world awaits! We have a chance to see and photograph dozens of these sandstone arches during our tour of the park. In the afternoon, we will tour both Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park, filled with red rock and dramatic views of the Colorado River. B, L
DAY 6: CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARKS/ANASAZI INDIAN VILLAGE/COWBOY POETRY
This morning, we’ll admire the radiant cliffs of Capitol Reef National Park. Then we’ll view grand mesas, buttes, and pinnacles and explore a replica of a six-room, 1,000 A.D. dwelling in an Anasazi Indian Village. This afternoon we’ll join Jenifer and Shannon Steed in the desert town of Escalante, where they will share with you the town’s unique history over a home cooked lunch and Cowboy Poetry. Tonight, we’ll check in to our hotel for 2 nights near Bryce Canyon National Park. B, L
DAY 7: BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK
In Bryce Canyon National Park, pinnacles of limestone, sandstone, and mudstone shoot toward the sky in fanciful formation. Then, enjoy free time to explore Bryce Canyon on your own before we head back to our hotel. Tonight, we will enjoy a BBQ dinner, and a live country music show near Bryce Canyon. B, D
DAY 8: ZION NATIONAL PARK
Today we’ll visit Utah’s spectacular Zion National Park and see an unusual combination of plummeting canyons, wide plateaus, and soaring multicolored sandstone cliffs. Relax as we take a guided tour along the park’s Scenic Drive. B, L, D
DAY 9: HOME
This morning, say farewell to the Southwest’s rugged beauty and travel home. B x

Our Welcome Dinner on Day 1 is at our hotel, Las Vegas Airport Hotel, starting at 6:30 p.m. We recommend scheduling your flight to arrive by 4:00 p.m.
Departure Time
You may schedule your flight home with flight departure times after 4:45 p.m. on Day 9 from the Harry Reid International Airport.
Airport Transportation / Vehicle Parking
Our starting hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to/from the Harry Reid International Airport. If you are driving to the starting location, they also offer complimentary parking for the duration of the tour.
Walking Distance
To fully enjoy your vacation, you should be in good physical health and understand there are times when a good deal of walking is involved in our tours. Those who have difficulty walking may not want to take this trip or should discuss their personal situation with their doctor before deciding. You should be able to walk at a steady pace up to a mile at a time for a daily total of three to four miles per day and be able to manage steps to board/de-board the motorcoach several times a day. In addition, please know you may be expected to exit the motorcoach at each stop because local law requires mandatory motorcoach driver breaks.
Due to the lack of proper facilities at some of the farms, ranches, and off-the-beaten-path sites we often visit, we are unable to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs.
