DAY 1: WELCOME TO SPOKANE!

Arrive in Spokane and settle into your hotel before meeting your fellow travelers for a special welcome dinner. D

DAY 2: COEUR D’ALENE

Enjoy a morning tour with a local guide before boarding a scenic cruise on beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene. Then we’ll continue north and cross into Canada for dinner and an overnight stay at Prestige Rocky Mountain Resort. B, D

DAY 3: GLACIER-WATERTON INTERNATIONAL PEACE PARK

The full splendor of the Canadian Rockies awaits as you enter Waterton Lakes National Park. Along with Glacier, Waterton Lakes forms the International Peace Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site shared by the United States and Canada to commemorate the continued peace and goodwill between the two nations. Check in for a two-night stay at Waterton Lakes Lodge Resort, located just a short walk from the water’s edge and surrounded by beautiful mountain views. B, L

DAY 4: WATERTON LAKES NATIONAL PARK

Step aboard a morning cruise of Upper Waterton Lake that continues past the international border and into Glacier National Park. Return to Waterton and spend the day surrounded by alpine lakes, cascading waterfalls, and breathtaking mountain scenery, plus dinner at the historic Prince of Wales Hotel. B, D

DAY 5: RED BUS TOUR

Say goodbye to the Canadian Rockies and hello to Glacier National Park. After crossing into the U.S., visit St. Mary Village before beginning the famous Red Bus Jammer tour along Going-to-the- Sun Road. Nicknamed the “Rubies of the Rockies,” these historic vehicles have carried travelers through Glacier’s spectacular scenery for generations. B, L

DAY 6: GLACIER FLOAT

This morning, float through the breathtaking scenery of Glacier National Park along the Flathead River. Watch for eagles, osprey, moose, and other wildlife as you learn about the area from your expert guide. Continue on to the charming town of Whitefish, MT, for some free time and lunch on your own. B, D

DAY 7: SILVER VALLEY

Travel west into Idaho and discover the rich mining history of the Silver Valley. Visit the classic mining town of Wallace, best known as the filming location for the 1997 movie, Dante’s Peak. Later, enjoy a special tour of a working silver mine and learn about the fascinating methods of hard-rock mining before continuing to Spokane. B, D

DAY 8: FLY HOME

Return home with unforgettable memories of Glacier National Park, the towering Rocky Mountains, and the fellow travelers who shared the journey. B

Arrival Time

Our Welcome Dinner on Day 1 is at our hotel, Holiday Inn Spokane Airport, starting at 6:30 pm. We recommend scheduling your flight to arrive by 4:00 pm.

Departure Time

You may schedule your flight home with flight departure times after breakfast on Day 8. Breakfast at the hotel is at your leisure and is served from 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Plan your return flight home that best fits your schedule.

Airport Transportation / Vehicle Parking

Our starting hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to/from the Spokane Int’l Airport. If you are driving to the starting location, they also offer complimentary parking for the duration of the tour.

Walking Distance

To fully enjoy your vacation, you should be in good physical health and understand there are times when a good deal of walking is involved in our tours. Those who have difficulty walking may not want to take this trip or should discuss their personal situation with their doctor before deciding. You should be able to walk at a steady pace up to a mile at a time for a daily total of three to four miles per day and be able to manage steps to board/de-board the motorcoach several times a day. In addition, please know you may be expected to exit the motorcoach at each stop because local law requires mandatory motorcoach driver breaks.

Due to the lack of proper facilities at some of the farms, ranches, and off-the-beaten-path sites we often visit, we are unable to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs.

It's important to note that elevations reach 6,600 feet on this tour.

Dress on tour is casual. Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, visors, and comfortable walking shoes will add to your enjoyment of this tour. Temperatures can fluctuate in this region, so we recommend bringing a light jacket with you when out in the morning or evening.

A valid US Passport is required for travel to/from the United States (we will be crossing the Canadian border at International Peace Park).

Waterton Lakes Lodge Resort does not have an elevator.
