DAY 1: WELCOME TO NEW YORK!

This evening, meet your Tour Director and friendly travel companions for a welcome dinner in New York. D

DAY 2: HUDSON RIVER CRUISE/KINGSTON/FDR HOME

Depart New York City and journey north into the beautiful Hudson Valley. Arrive in historic Kingston and board the Rip Van Winkle II for a scenic cruise along the Hudson River. Notable sights include lighthouses, waterfront mansions, and stunning fall foliage. Enjoy free time for lunch and shopping in Kingston before visiting the home of Franklin D. Roosevelt in Hyde Park. Tonight, check into your hotel and enjoy a group dinner with your fellow travelers. B, D

DAY 3: WEST POINT/BROTHERHOOD WINERY/LEGEND RETELLING

This morning, travel to West Point for a guided tour of the U.S. Military Academy, beautifully set above the Hudson River. Continue to Brotherhood Winery, the oldest operating winery in the United States, where you’ll tour the historic cellars before enjoying lunch and a tasting. Later, visit the Motorcyclepedia Museum to explore its remarkable collection of rare and vintage motorcycles. Return to Sleepy Hollow this afternoon for free time and dinner on your own. Tonight, gather under the stars at the home of Washington Irving as master storyteller Jonathan Kruk brings The Legend of Sleepy Hollow to life in a dramatic live performance. B, L

DAY 4: SLEEPY HOLLOW CEMETERY/OLD’76 HOUSE/JACK O’LANTERN BLAZE

Spend today immersing yourself in the history of Sleepy Hollow by exploring some of the town’s most notable sites with a local guide. This afternoon, take a tour of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, the final resting place of notable figures and the setting that inspired Washington Irving’s famous tale. Tonight, gather with your fellow travelers for a memorable farewell dinner at the Old ’76 House, a tavern which played a role in the American Revolution. Finish off the night with a visit to the spectacular Jack O’Lantern Blaze, where thousands of Sleepy Hollow, New York, is a historic village located intricately carved pumpkins along the Hudson River. Originally settled by the Dutch illuminate elaborate, glowing in the 17th century, the area became famous through displays. B, D

DAY 5: ALPACA FARM/FAREWELL

After breakfast, journey into proudly embraces its storied past, celebrating it with the rolling hills of the Hudson festivals, tours, and seasonal events that draw visitors Valley for a visit to Faraway from around the world each autumn. Farm Alpacas. Enjoy an up-close experience with the gentle animals while learning about fiber production. This afternoon, return home with happy Halloween memories. B

Arrival Time

Our Welcome Dinner on Day 1 is at our hotel, DoubleTree by Hilton New York LaGuardia Airport, starting at 6:30 p.m. We recommend scheduling your flight to arrive by 4:00 p.m.

Departure Time

Schedule your flight home to depart New York LaGuardia Airport any time after 2:30 p.m. on Day 5.

Our starting hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to/from New York LaGuardia Airport.

Walking Distance

To fully enjoy your vacation, you should be in good physical health and understand there are times when a good deal of walking is involved in our tours. Those who have difficulty walking may not want to take this trip or should discuss their personal situation with their doctor before deciding. You should be able to walk at a steady pace up to a mile at a time for a daily total of three to four miles per day and be able to manage steps to board/de-board the motorcoach several times a day. In addition, please know you may be expected to exit the motorcoach at each stop because local law requires mandatory motorcoach driver breaks.

Due to the lack of proper facilities at some of the farms, ranches, and off-the-beaten-path sites we often visit, we are unable to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs.
