Day 1: WELCOME TO ASHEVILLE!
Arrive in festive Asheville, NC, nestled in the heart of the scenic Appalachian Mountains and long beloved as a haven for artists, visionaries, and holiday travelers alike. Meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers this evening at a Welcome Dinner. D
Day 2: NATIONAL GINGERBREAD HOUSE COMPETITION
With a knowledgeable local guide, we uncover Asheville’s rich history, from its early railroad days to its rise as a Gilded Age resort city, along with its stunning Art Deco architecture and lively cultural scene. We gather for a festive holiday lunch at the historic Omni Grove Park Inn, a 1913 mountain retreat known for hosting presidents, poets, and holiday celebrations across generations. Here we will admire the whimsical artistry of the National Gingerbread House Competition displays, where creativity and craftsmanship are brought to life. Later, arrive at the Biltmore Estate for an evening of relaxation and the first of three nights at the Village Hotel. B, L
Day 3: BILTMORE CHRISTMAS
After breakfast, an Estate Ambassador will bring us on a tour of the grounds and gardens and share the rich history and cherished traditions of this remarkable property. Enjoy free time to wander the charming, tree-lined streets of Antler Village and browse its unique shops. As evening falls, we experience the pinnacle of our journey: a Candlelight Christmas Evening at the Biltmore. Walking together through the opulent halls, glowing with thousands of lights and adorned with hand-decorated wreaths, garlands, and trees, we savor a Christmas tradition the Vanderbilts began more than 125 years ago. Day 4: DAY AT BILTMORE
The day is yours to explore the Estate, from the Conservatory bedecked in holiday floral displays to the Creamery for a special sweet treat (activities are optional and an additional expense). This evening, we will head into town for dinner and learn about some favorite regional cuisines. We’ll cap off the evening with a walk through the North Carolina Arboretum’s dazzling Winter Lights display, featuring more than one million twinkling lights. B, D
Day 5: RETURN HOME
Enjoy a leisurely morning to wrap up any last-minute holiday shopping or take a final stroll around the beautiful grounds before you return home, filled with wonderful memories of the holiday season at the Biltmore. B

Walking Distance
To fully enjoy your vacation, you should be in good physical health and understand there are times when a good deal of walking is involved in our tours. Those who have difficulty walking may not want to take this trip or should discuss their personal situation with their doctor before deciding. You should be able to walk at a steady pace up to a mile at a time for a daily total of three to four miles per day and be able to manage steps to board/de-board the motorcoach several times a day. In addition, please know you may be expected to exit the motorcoach at each stop because local law requires mandatory motorcoach driver breaks.
Due to the lack of proper facilities at some of the farms, ranches, and off-the-beaten-path sites we often visit, we are unable to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs.
