Chasing Charity: Grand Michigan

Having grown up traveling to Michigan several times a year, I thought I knew what it had to offer. But, boy, was I wrong! I recently had the opportunity to travel alongside CTD travelers on our Grand Michigan tour and it was filled with many incredible highlights. One of the most memorable moments was the visit to Mac Woods Dune Ride. While riding one of these dune scooters, your inner child comes to life as you glide across the sand dunes in an open-air truck. Arms up as you head down the dunes, smiles for all, and some great education on the ever-changing dunes.

Another highlight was, of course, the moment everyone was waiting for — the journey to Mackinac Island! There you feel as if you have stepped back in time. The carriage ride to The Grand Hotel was a true treat, as you arrive at the famous front porch lined with vibrant red geraniums and classic white rocking chairs. Our evening at The Grand was a treat filled with laughter, a five-course meal and new friendships that made this an unforgettable trip. 

I’m so glad I traveled the unexpected and walked away with unforgettable memories and friendships to last a lifetime.
