Arrive in Salt Lake City and meet your fellow travelers and Discoveries Director at our evening dinner. D

We’ll start out day with a visit the town of Idaho Falls and the Museum of Idaho to learn about one of the least visited states in the country. Together, we’ll cross into Montana and arrive at the west gates of Yellowstone National Park to enjoy dinner at a local favorite before checking in for an extended 3-night stay. B, D

Bring your camera for a great day in the world’s first National Park! Journey along the Northern Loop with a local guide to visit Mammoth Hot Springs and other iconic stops along the way. Tour America’s wildest stretch of road, where bison, pronghorn, bighorn sheep, grizzly bears, and moose all roam. Yellowstone’s most famous residents – gray wolves – are often seen on the prowl. Today is yours to choose your own adventure and set your own pace. Take an optional visit to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center or the Yellowstone IMAX. Enjoy the downtown strip of shops and restaurants of West Yellowstone. Looking for more time in the park? Spend your time at Old Faithful to walk the extensive boardwalk trails around the geyser basin, enjoy the visitor center, and have lunch on-your-own. Optional activities at own expense. B

Depart West Yellowstone for more magical moments in Jackson, Wyoming. With the pristine Teton Mountains as your backdrop, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable scenic float down the Snake River. Head deeper into Grand Teton National Park and check-in for a special 2-night stay at the iconic Jackson Lake Lodge, one of the premier lodges in the National Park system. B, L

Yellowstone’s Southern Loop is home to the park’s most famous sites, including Old Faithful and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. An in-depth guided tour brings the park’s history, ecology, and geology to life as you pass from one remarkable site to the next. Return to Jackson Lake Lodge for dinner in the famous Mural Room with stunning views of the Tetons. B, D

Enjoy a leisurely morning at Jackson Lake Lodge before visiting the National Museum of Wildlife Art. Take in vistas of the National Elk Refuge as you stand face-to-face with life-size sculptures and experience wildlife through art of all kinds. After time in downtown Jackson, continue to Alpine for a relaxing stay at Flying Saddle Resort along the banks of the Snake River. B, D

Today we depart Wyoming and cross into Idaho with a stop in the western town of Soda Springs to see the world’s only “captive” geyser, controlled by the city to go off every hour. Continue to Salt Lake City and get up close with the region’s prehistoric wildlife and ancient history at the Natural History Museum of Utah. B, L

This morning, we head home with fond memories of these two unforgettable National Parks. B

Arrival Time
Our Welcome Dinner on Day 1 is at our hotel, Holiday Inn Salt Lake City Airport, starting at 6:30 pm. We recommend scheduling your flight to arrive by 4:00 pm.

Departure Time
Schedule your flight home to depart the Salt Lake City Int’l Airport any time after breakfast Day 9. A breakfast voucher will be given to each person to use at their leisure. Breakfast is served from 6:00am - 10:00am. Plan your return flight home that best fits your schedule.

Airport Transportation / Vehicle Parking
Our starting hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to/from the Salt Lake City Int’l Airport. If you are driving to the starting location, they also offer complimentary parking for the duration of the tour.

Walking Distance
Moderate walking is required to fully enjoy this tour. Some walking will also be on uneven paths. While walking canes are allowed, we are unable to accommodate travelers using other mobility devices, including walkers and wheelchairs.

It's important to note that elevations reach over 7,000 feet on this tour.

Dress on tour is casual. Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, visors, and comfortable walking shoes will add to your enjoyment of this tour. Temperatures can fluctuate in this region, so we recommend bringing a light jacket with you when out in the morning or evening.
