DAY 1—WELCOME TO NEW YORK CITY!
After your flight to New York, unpack for the next 4 nights at the well-appointed Hotel Beacon. Past travelers say they “feel like a New Yorker” when staying here as it's situated perfectly amid the tree-lined streets and landmark buildings of the historic Upper West Side. With wonderful views of the Hudson River, Midtown Manhattan, and Central Park, the Beacon features oversized rooms (with kitchenettes) and a sophisticated, relaxing atmosphere throughout. Enjoy a welcome dinner tonight with your fellow travelers at Carmine’s Italian Restaurant. D

DAY 2—HIGH LINE/LITTLE ISLAND/CHELSEA MARKET/MET CLOISTERS
Our first stop will be to the nearby High Line. We’ll walk a portion of this elevated linear park, greenway, and trail created on a former New York Central Railroad. Then we head to Little Island, a vibrant park created on top of a historic Hudson River pier with innovative architecture and dramatic river views. Next we call on the Chelsea Market, located in the heart of New York City’s Meatpacking District. Explore the diverse, global perspectives reflected in the marketplace’s shops and restaurants before enjoying lunch on your own. Afterwards, our afternoon tour will be at Cloisters, also known as The Met Cloisters. This museum in Manhattan's Fort Tryon Park specializes in beautiful gardens along with European medieval art and architecture with a focus on the Romanesque and Gothic periods. B

DAY 3—UNTERMYER GARDENS/CENTRAL PARK CONSERVATORY/BROADWAY SHOW
This morning we’re in for a special treat – a tour of Untermyer Gardens in Yonkers. This historic Conservancy showcases exuberant horticulture in the magnificent landscape designed by Welles Bosworth in 1916. Set on 43-acres, the layout is a remnant of Samuel Untermyer’s 150-acre estate “Greystone”. After lunch, we travel to the nearby
Central Park Conservatory- the most significant public garden in New York. Known for its horticultural excellence, the park is comprised of three spaces: a French-style North Garden, an Italianate Center Garden, and an English-style South Garden. After a refresh at our hotel, enjoy dinner at a local eatery before soaking in “A Beautiful Noise”, the new Neil Diamond Musical on Broadway. B, L, D

DAY 4—WAVE HILL/BOTANIC GARDEN
After breakfast, we visit Wave Hill, a 28-acre estate in the Bronx overlooking the Hudson River. Together we'll explore the 4,000 varieties of trees, shrubs, vines, and herbaceous plants in this New York oasis. Our travels will then take us to the New York Botanical Gardens, where we settle in for lunch at the Pine Tree Cafe, before exploring its 250 acres that hosts over a million plants. Tonight, we gather for a farewell dinner in the city. B, L, D

DAY 5—BROOKLYN BRIDGE/BROOKLYN GRANGE/TRAVEL HOME
Wake up this morning and enjoy an optional neighborhood walk of the Upper West Side before we cross the East River for a spectacular stop at Brooklyn Bridge Park, Here you'll have an opportunity to take photos at the iconic site. Then we rise above the city with an exclusive visit to the world's largest rooftop soil farm at Brooklyn Grange to experience how the green spaces are built to promote sustainable living and local ecology through food, education, and events. Afterward, we’ll head to the airport and depart home with treasured memories of NYC. B
